ประวัติสมาคมผู้นำเข้าและผู้ส่งออกระดับมาตรฐานเออีโอ 

เมื่อวันที่ 14 กุมภาพันธ์ 2543 ท่านอธิบดีกรมศุลกากร (คุณสมใจนึก เองตระกูล) ได้มีดำริต่อที่ประชุมในพิธีแจกเกียรติบัตร บัตรทองให้บริษัทต่างๆ   ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจากกรมศุลกากรให้เป็นผู้นำเข้าและส่งออกระดับบัตรทองจำนวน 68 บริษัท ว่าควรจะจัดตั้งสมาคมของผู้ประกอบการระดับบัตรทองขึ้น  เพื่อให้สมาคมฯ เป็นหน่วยงานกลางทำหน้าที่ประสานงานระหว่างสมาชิกและกรมศุลกากร หรือระหว่างสมาชิกด้วยกัน และเป็นหน่วยงานกลางช่วยชี้แจ้งระเบียบ ปฏิบัติด้านการนำเข้า ส่งออก เพื่อให้เกิดความสะดวกรวดเร็วในการดำเนินพิธีการศุลกากร รวมทั้งให้คำแนะนำเรื่องสิทธิประโยชน์เพิ่มเติมกับผู้ประกอบการระดับบัตรทอง 

วันที่ 18 เมษายน 2544 ได้เริ่มจัดตั้งเป็น "ชมรมผู้นำเข้าและผู้ส่งออกระดับมาตรฐานเออีโอ" และได้มีการเลือกตั้งคณะกรรมการจำนวน 14 ท่าน เพื่อเป็นตัวแทนของแต่ละอุตสาหกรรม โดยอธิบดีกรมศุลกากรเสนอให้ บริษัท มินิแบ จำกัด เป็นประธานชมรมชั่วคราว และให้คณะกรรมการทำการเลือกตั้งประธานชมรม โดย นายพรศิลป์ พัชรินทร์ตนะกุล จากบริษัท เครือเจริญโภคภัณฑ์ จำกัด ได้รับเลือกตั้งเป็นประธานชมรม           

วันที่ 23 เมษายน 2556 ชมรมฯ ได้รับอนุญาตให้จัดตั้งเป็นสมาคม ชื่อ "สมาคมผู้นำเข้าและผู้ส่งออกระดับบัตรทอง" (Thai Gold Card   Importer & Exporter Association)

ต่อมา วันที่ 25 เมษายน 2556  สมาคมผู้นำเข้าและผู้ส่งออกระดับบัตรทอง ได้เปลี่ยนชื่อ เป็น สมาคมผู้นำเข้าและผู้ส่งออกระดับมาตรฐานเออีโอ (Thai AEO Importer & Exporter Association) เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามนโยบายของกรมศุลกากรที่จะเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันทางการค้าระหว่างประเทศตามความร่วมมือขององค์การศุลกากรโลก (World Customs Organization : WCO) และเสริมสร้างให้ภาคธุรกิจให้ความสำคัญด้านความปลอดภัยสินค้าในห่วงโซ่    อุปทาน และผลักดันให้ผู้นำเข้า ผู้ส่งออกระดับบัตรทอง เข้าสู่มาตรฐานสากล ตามประกาศกรมศุลกากรที่ 12/2556       

ปัจจุบันสมาคมมีสมาชิก  ประเภทสามัญแบ่งเป็น 9 กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรม และประเภทวิสามัญ และสมาชิกกิตติมศักดิ์ โดยมี นายพรศิลป์ พัชรินทร์ตนะกุล  ดำรงตำแหน่งนายกสมาคม

History of the Thai AEO Importer & Exporter Association

On February 14, 2000, Mr. Somchainuek Engtrakul, then Director-General of the Customs Department, suggested at a certificate presentation ceremony for 68 "Gold Card" importers and exporters that an association for these businesses should be established. The aim was for this association to serve as a central body, coordinating between members and the Customs Department, or among members themselves. It would also clarify import and export regulations and procedures to ensure swift and convenient customs clearance, as well as provide advice on additional benefits for Gold Card businesses.

On April 18, 2001, the "Gold Card Importer and Exporter Club" (ชมรมผู้นำเข้าและผู้ส่งออกระดับมาตรฐานเออีโอ) was officially established. A committee of 14 members was elected to represent various industries. The Director-General of the Customs Department proposed MiniBea Co., Ltd. as the provisional chairman of the club. The committee then elected Mr. Pornsilp Patcharintanakul from Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. as the club's chairman.

On April 23, 2013, the club was granted permission to be registered as an association under the name "Thai Gold Card Importer & Exporter Association."

Subsequently, on April 25, 2013, the Thai Gold Card Importer & Exporter Association changed its name to the Thai AEO Importer & Exporter Association. This change was in line with the Customs Department's policy to enhance international trade competitiveness through cooperation with the World Customs Organization (WCO). It also aimed to encourage businesses to prioritize supply chain security and to push Gold Card importers and exporters towards international standards, as stipulated in Customs Department Announcement No. 12/2556.

Currently, the association comprises ordinary members divided into 9 industry groups, extraordinary members, and honorary members. Mr. Pornsil Patchrintanakul serves as the current president of the association.
